Refund & Returns Policy
Thanks for shopping at Milbury Model Company (a trading name of Berrybrook Motors Ltd). If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase bought from our online shop, we're here to help.
This Refund & Returns Policy applies only to items purchased via the official Milbury Model Company online shop. For details relating to purchases made elsewhere, please refer to the relevant retailer's website or contact us at info@milburymodels.co.uk.
Returns
You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
To be eligible for a return:

Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Your item must be in its original packaging.

You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received it. We will then notify you of the status of your refund following inspection.
If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. The time taken for the refund to appear will depend on your card issuer's or bank's processing times.
Where applicable, original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable and may be deducted from any refund issued.
Partial Refunds
There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted:

Books with obvious signs of use.

Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery.
If your refund is approved, it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a reasonable period.
Warranty
In addition to your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws, Milbury Model Company provides a limited warranty on eligible models purchased from us.
Warranty Period
All new models are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery.
What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects in materials, workmanship, or manufacturer-supplied components that occur during normal use and operation of the model in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Where a defect is confirmed, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

Supply replacement parts;

Repair the model;
-
Arrange repair by the manufacturer or an authorised service provider; or
-
Offer a replacement or exchange only where repair or replacement parts are not a reasonable solution.
Conditions of Warranty
To remain eligible for warranty coverage:

The model must have been operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

No modifications, upgrades, alterations, or non-approved components must have been fitted to the model.

Only manufacturer-recommended fuels, lubricants and consumables must have been used. This applies to both steam-powered and petrol-powered models.

The model must not have been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident damage, improper maintenance, or operation outside its intended purpose.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by user error, misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper operation.

Damage resulting from the use of non-recommended fuels, lubricants, or consumables.
-
Models that have been modified, upgraded, altered, or repaired by unauthorised persons.

Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or consumable items.
-
Damage caused by accidents, improper storage, transportation, environmental conditions, or failure to follow operating instructions.
Warranty Claims
If you believe your model has developed a fault covered by this warranty, please contact us at info@milburymodels.co.uk as soon as possible with details of the issue and, where requested, photographs or videos demonstrating the fault.
The model may need to be returned for inspection before a warranty claim can be approved.
Where a warranty claim is accepted, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs incurred in sending the model to us for inspection or repair. Original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.
We reserve the right to inspect and test any model before determining whether a fault is covered under this warranty.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund:

Check your bank account again.

Contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Contact your bank, as there is often a processing period before refunds are shown.

Shipping
You are responsible for the cost of returning items unless otherwise required by law or where a warranty claim has been accepted.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, any applicable shipping charges may be deducted from your refund.
For higher-value items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Sale Items
Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale or clearance items cannot be refunded unless they are faulty or otherwise required by law.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please email info@milburymodels.co.uk and await further instructions before returning the item.
Depending on your location, the time it may take for an exchanged product to reach you may vary.
