The Retrol Marine Engine (BL1K) & Boiler Kit is a fully working live steam marine model inspired by the golden age of marine and industrial engineering.
Designed as a genuine hands-on kit, the BL1K allows you to assemble, fire and operate a real miniature steam engine powered by live steam — offering an engaging mechanical experience far beyond a static display model.

The engine body is manufactured from die-cast brass for durability and authentic period styling. A stainless steel cylinder liner provides excellent heat resistance and reduced wear during operation.
Authentic Stephenson Valve Gear
The RW-BL1K features realistic Stephenson valve gear, historically used on steam locomotives and marine engines. This allows both forward and reverse operation while clearly demonstrating traditional steam timing and valve control.
Complete DIY Live Steam Kit
Supplied with all required parts, tools and instructions, this kit allows users to build and operate their own working steam engine.

This policy applies to hexamine-based products including Mamod and Wilesco solid fuel tablets.
Shipping
We are able to ship Mamod and Wilesco hexamine-based fuel products through our approved Limited Quantity (LQ) shipping programme.
A £9.99 domestic shipping charge applies to orders containing these products, irrespective of our normal shipping rates or free-delivery thresholds.
By purchasing a hexamine-based product, the customer confirms that it is being obtained for legitimate commercial or professional use.

We are currently accepting orders from UK, the EU and a range of countries worldwide. Whilst we ship to many countries, we may not ship to your country. If we are unable to ship to your country, you will be unable to checkout.
RESTRICTIONS
We are unable to supply solid fuel tablets to buyers from overseas.
