Upgrade your Mamod traction engine, steam roller with this easy-to-install gas firing conversion kit. Designed for enthusiasts seeking longer running times, improved flame control and cleaner operation, this kit allows you to convert your existing solid fuel-fired model to run on butane gas.
The burner assembly is designed to fit neatly within the original scuttle, retaining the traditional appearance of your engine whilst providing a more controllable and consistent heat source.
Complete with fitting instructions and an individual test certificate showing the serial number of your burner.
Please note: This kit does not include a scuttle. You will need to modify your existing Mamod scuttle to fit the gas conversion kit. Full drilling instructions and templates are included.
Installation requires a 3.5 mm drill bit and a 6.5 mm drill bit to create the necessary mounting holes. Drill bits are not included with this kit.
Important Information:
- Fits Mamod Traction Engine (TE1a/ TE1) and Roller (SR1a/ SR1) models only. Will not fit Mamod Steam Lorry.
- Suitable for use with low-pressure butane or butane/ propane (70:30) gas only.
- Intended for adult collectors and model engineering enthusiasts.
Please be aware, you will need to drill 3 holes in your existing scuttle to ensure this kit fits.

For this reason, both products are available for collection from store only and, at point of collection, can only be supplied to buyers who can produce a valid EPP Licence.
