A Trip to the Home of Wilesco
We recently visited the Wilesco factory in Lüdenscheid, Germany – the birthplace of some of the world’s most iconic model steam engines.
The factory, Wilhelm Schröder & Co., has been at its current location since 1912 and now spans an impressive 13,000 square metres. With over 100 years of experience under one roof, it’s no surprise that the craftsmanship is second to none.
One thing that really stood out to us? Every single steam engine is still handmade – from start to finish. It's an amazing mix of tradition and precision with a real passion for engineering.
